So I checked out the new Fear Factor last night, and I have mixed feelings. It started out pretty slow, and even though the first stunt was a fire-ball laden doozy, it was pretty obvious that it was mostly special effects added in after the fact. That’s okay, I understand that you can’t really blow people up, even for my television entertainment.
I felt awful for the set of sisters who were donned the “Barbies.” Apparently their dad is a real asshole. They started out saying that the last thing their Dad told them was not to disappoint him, then after they lost in the first round, their exit interview was all about how he would never be able to look at them the same again. Sheesh! Get over it, Dad, it’s freaking Fear Factor!
The second stunt involved eating live scorpions. By that time, I guess I got pretty sucked into the premise, as I found myself yelling things at the TV like “Pop those fuckers in your mouth and chew!!” Wow. I never thought I would be so impressed by someone’s scorpion-eating prowess, but Fear Factor totally got me there.
By the end of the episode, I was emotionally involved enough to have my fingers crossed that the mom/son team would win. They didn’t. I wasn’t emotionally involved enough to bother watching the second episode. I think I’m going to pass on Fear Factor from here on out.

hahahaha
I’m glad I didn’t miss anything.
Yeah, you’re in the clear!
